F.R. Pride provides education on positive life skills and choices through all of our programs while, promoting a safe and inclusive environment for youth to express themselves authentically.
Youth ADVISORY Council (Y.A.C)
The Youth Advisory Council was developed to empower LGBTQ+ youth to take a leadership role within their schools and their community. The Y.A.C recruits members yearly, within the ages of 12-18 years. Members must be enrolled in grades 7th-12th.
Wellness Wednesdays are dedicated to improving the health outcomes of LGBTQ+ youth.
We’ve created a space for youth to explore topics of personal interest in safe and inclusive environment, through expressive arts or healthy conversations.
Family Ties is a peer-led support group for any parent with a child who identifies as LGBTQ+. The Family Ties group is unique because, it allows parents to develop a fellowship among one another.
Cultural Humility Training
Given the importance of creating diverse and inclusive environments, it is beneficial to understand cultural competency as a collective process. Cultural humility involves more than gaining factual knowledge — it also includes our ongoing attitudes toward both our LGBTQ+ youth and our community.
In January 2020, F.R. Pride will be hosting a LGBTQ+ community provider coalition. For more information, please contact us.
